The unique nature enabled by the BIP improvement such as Segregated Witness and Taproot, has allowed blockchain developers to inscribe new types of data such as text, images, audio, video and applications.

BRC20 tokens taking place on the Bitcoin network, is technically a fundamental innovation that’s utilizing unspent transaction output [UTXO] model, similar to a non-fungible tokens that have become ever exceedingly popular on Ethereum and Solana. Since the genesis of coinbase ordinals inception date Q1 2023 (February 8th, 2023), these inscriptions have become more and more popular adding additional utility to a standard peer to peer, proof of work cryptocurrency, which at the present time equals $ 920 billion dollar total market capitalization according to CoinGecko (January 8th, 2024).

With this research paper, our team has compiled, produced and aggregated fundamental data, and made some glaring recommendations on how BRC20 tokens have impacted bitcoin on-chain performance.
