Team Vitality has achieved a significant victory at the IEM Katowice 2025, marking their first championship title at this prestigious event. They defeated Team Spirit 3-0 in the grand final held at the Spodek Arena in Poland, which was considered a major upset given Team Spirit’s strong tournament performance.

The best-of-five series began on Dust2, where Vitality claimed a decisive 13-6 victory. Robin “ropz” Kool led the charge with an impressive 26 kills. The momentum continued on Nuke, with Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut playing a crucial role in a 13-5 win. The final map, Mirage, ended with a close score of 13-11, securing the championship for Vitality.

Team captain Dan “apEX” Madesclaire celebrated his first IEM Katowice title after a remarkable 15-year career, highlighting the importance of this achievement. The tournament featured 24 teams competing for a total prize pool of $1,250,000.
