Ubisoft has announced a major transformation of its tactical shooter, now titled Siege X. This overhaul, which has been in development for three years, aims to modernize the game while keeping its core strategic gameplay intact.

The update will feature significant graphical and audio improvements, refined mechanics, and new gameplay experiences. Importantly, the existing operators and maps will be maintained, ensuring that long-time players will still recognize the game they love.

A full showcase of Siege X is scheduled for March 13, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia, with a live stream available on the official Rainbow Six Siege Twitch channel. Alongside this announcement, Ubisoft introduced Year 10 Season 1, named Operation Prep Phase, which includes:

  • A new attacker named Rauora from New Zealand.
  • The Deployable Omnilink Mesh (D.O.M.) Launcher, enabling strategic placement of bulletproof panels in doorways.
  • Rauora’s loadout featuring the 417 designated marksman rifle or the M249 light machine gun as primary weapons, along with the newly introduced Reaper MK2 machine pistol as a secondary option.

Battle Pass owners will have immediate access to the new character, while others can unlock Rauora using Renown or R6 Credits two weeks after the season begins.
