Ralph Hamers, the former CEO of UBS, has recently joined the Board of Directors of Palo Alto Networks, a leading cybersecurity company valued at $130 billion. Alongside him is former Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt, who brings extensive political experience to the board.
Hamers will be a member of the Audit and Security Committee, while Thorning-Schmidt will serve on both the Governance and Sustainability Committee and the Security Committee. Nikesh Arora, Chairman and CEO of Palo Alto Networks, expressed excitement about these new appointments, highlighting the strategic insights both leaders will contribute to the organization.
Hamers has a background in Silicon Valley and currently provides advisory services to Arta Finance and Grab Holdings, enhancing his profile in the technology sector. Thorning-Schmidt, who was Denmark’s first female Prime Minister from 2011 to 2015, previously held the position of CEO at Save the Children International.
