EFG International is undergoing a significant transformation in its Board of Directors ahead of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for March 21. This strategic decision allows for new leadership to emerge as the bank aims to improve governance and adapt to the evolving demands of the financial sector.
Board Member Changes
Four current board members will not seek re-election, paving the way for new candidates who bring extensive experience and expertise. The departing members are:
- Prasanna Gopalakrishnan
- Amy Yip
- Stuart Robertson
- Périclès Petalas

New Board Candidates
Yvonne Bettkober is recognized for her authority in digital transformation and organizational development. Currently, she serves as the Head of Group Organizational Development & Transformation at the Volkswagen Group. Her previous leadership roles at Amazon Web Services and Microsoft have equipped her with a strong background in strategy implementation, which is expected to be a valuable asset for EFG.
Luisa Delgado brings over three decades of global management experience across various sectors, including luxury goods, IT, and banking. Her previous positions include CEO of Safilo Group and a member of the Executive Board at SAP. Recently stepping down from her role as Vice Chairman of Barclays Bank (Suisse) SA, she is set to join EFG’s Board of Directors effective September 1, 2025.
Expertise in Finance and Risk Management
Wanda Eriksen has a wealth of experience as a professional board member, particularly in finance, risk management, and regulatory compliance. She has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Audit Oversight Authority (FAOA) since 2018 and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of AXA Switzerland. Her expertise will be crucial as EFG adapts to the changing financial landscape.
Kostas Tsiveriotis completes the new candidates with an impressive 30-year career in banking. Currently the Managing Director and CEO of Gestron Asset Management in Luxembourg, he has held significant positions at Eurobank Private Bank Luxembourg and Deutsche Bank in New York. His extensive experience in derivatives and trading provides him with a deep understanding of financial markets.

Alexander Classen, Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed confidence in the new candidates, highlighting their extensive experience in key industry areas.
