Edmond de Rothschild has announced the appointment of Monika Vicandi as the new Chief Risk, Legal & Compliance Officer, effective March 1, 2025. With over 20 years of experience in control functions across various financial institutions, her expertise is expected to significantly contribute to the bank’s development.
Vicandi will join the Executive Committee on January 15, 2025. Her previous roles include significant positions at:
- Oddo BHF
- Winterthur International
- Union Bancaire Privée
- VP Bank in Liechtenstein, where she served as Group Legal Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Chief Risk Officer
The CEO of the bank highlighted Vicandi’s international experience and expertise, indicating that her appointment is a crucial advancement for the institution. Founded in 1953, the Geneva-based bank manages assets totaling CHF 170 billion and employs around 2,600 staff members. It serves a diverse international clientele, including families, entrepreneurs, and institutional investors, while also engaging in various sectors such as corporate finance, infrastructure finance, private equity, real estate, and fund services.
