Axa Switzerland has announced the appointment of Niklas Elser as the new Head of Pension Provision and a member of the Executive Board, effective April 1, 2025. This transition marks a significant change as Elser takes over from Thomas Gerber, who has served in the role for thirteen years.

Elser has been with Axa since 2017 and has held various management positions within the company. Most recently, he led the Private Pensions & Healthcare division starting in 2023. His previous roles include:

• Head of Corporate Development
• Head of Healthcare

Before joining Axa, Elser gained nearly ten years of experience in the financial and health insurance sectors. He worked as a consultant at a prominent consulting firm and at a health insurer, which has equipped him with a strong foundation for his new role.
